Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I bring on the fishing charter?

We provide all the rods, reels, bait, and tackle you’ll need for the trip. We recommend bringing sunscreen (No Spray Sunscreen), polarized sunglasses, a hat, and any snacks or drinks you’d like (no glass bottles or metal bottle's / jugs, please). Don’t forget a camera—you might catch a trophy!

  • Do I need a fishing license?

Nope! All of our charters are fully licensed and insured. Your fishing license is covered under our vessel's charter license, so you’re good to go as soon as you step aboard.

  • Can we keep the fish we catch?

Yes, in most cases. As long as the species is in season and meets legal size and bag limits, you’re welcome to keep your catch. We’ll gladly clean and bag your fish at the dock so it’s ready to cook or take home.

  • What kind of fish do we catch?

Depending on the season and conditions, we target a variety of species including sailfish, mahi-mahi, kingfish, tuna, wahoo, and even swordfish, marlin, pomfret. Our trips are tailored to what’s biting and your goals for the day.

  • Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! We welcome anglers of all ages. Fishing is a great family activity, and we’ll do everything we can to make it a safe, fun experience for everyone on board.

  • Where do we meet for the charter?

We depart from the marina at the Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort in Stuart, FL. Once you book, we’ll provide detailed directions and meeting instructions.

  • What if the weather is bad?

Safety is our top priority. If weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll cancel or reschedule the trip at no charge. We keep a close eye on the forecast and will stay in touch leading up to your charter.

  • What should I wear on the boat?

Dress for comfort and sun protection—lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and polarized sunglasses are ideal. We also recommend non-slip, light-colored shoes with soft soles. Please avoid black-soled shoes, as they can leave scuff marks on the deck.

  • Can we bring our own food and drinks?

You're more than welcome to bring your own snacks, lunch, and drinks. We provide two drink boxes with ice, as well as a refrigerator on board to keep your food fresh. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you avoid glass bottles and metal drinking jugs or cups. We also try to eliminate external coolers, as they can create safety hazards on board.

  • Is gratuity included in the price?

Gratuity is not included in the charter price. A customary tip for the captain and crew is typically 20% of the charter cost.

  • How early should we arrive before departure?

We recommend arriving at the marina 5-10 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This gives us time to load up, go over the plan for the day, and leave the dock on time.

  • Can I bring my own fishing gear?

We’ve got you covered! We provide all rods and reels, professionally rigged and maintained by White’s Tackle. To ensure consistency, safety, and the best possible experience, we do not allow personal rods or reels on board.

  • How do I book a trip?

Contact us for availability. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak fishing seasons.
